Australia saw batting conditions improve in the second session of Day 2, as Travis Head brought up his half-century and Steve Smith neared his own fifty. India missed a huge DRS review opportunity, as they did not review a delivery where replays showed that Smith had gloved it behind. In the first session, India started well, courtesy of Jasprit Bumrah quickly removing both Australia openers. Marnus Labuschagne looked patchy throughout, and eventually fell prey to Nitish Kumar Reddy. Mohammed Siraj had a hamstring injury scare as well, but later returned to field. (
