India's new social media regulation guidelines is a threat to all social media platforms including Telegram, twitter Facebook extra.
India government recently issued social media regulation guidelines be followed by social media platforms. It asks to disclose the first originator of mischievous tweet or message:
Code:
* Social media platforms upon being asked either by a court order or a government authority will be required to disclose the first originator of mischievous tweet or message as the case may be.

This will lead to privacy being broken throughout the social media platforms, may be even it will compell social media providers to look through personal sharing.

You can read the full guidelines from pib.

@Crash_TV_ the new guidelines require telegram, whatsapp etc to keep a watch on messages sent by users, well they can give some unique id to messages and keep the first originator checked while the message being created for first time. Since the messages are encrypted, it will be a tough task for providers.

Eventhough from a developer perspective for providers this is possible without looking into messages sent by users, the matter will be on how they will implement it.
