India vs Australia 5th Test Day 1 Live Updates:

India suffered a big Virat Kohli blow as play resumed after Lunch on Day 1 of the 5th Test against Australia in Sydney. India lost Shubman Gill on the final delivery before the end of the first session while KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal departed not long after the start of play on Friday. Scott Boland, with two wickets, emerged as the pick of the bowlers so far on Day 1 while Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon bagged one wicket each. India's full-time captain Rohit Sharma opted out of the 5th and final Test against Australia as stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah decided to bat first in Sydney on Friday. India made two changes in the team, with Shubman Gill replacing Rohit and Prasidh Krishan coming into the team in place of injured Akash Deep. (
