If someone want to download any attachment, then they first have to hit thanks to see the attachment.
Is this possible?

I think its a good idea as we know we are providing some free good stuff without any charges so its our right that we get a thnx at least a good suggestion

Attachments are viewable in filelogs, attachlists and along with posts. So hiding attachments won't work eventhough it is possible to hide in the postbit. Users can see them in attachlist, filelogs.
Meanwhile it is possible to hide the download links till the user hits thanks, for that user may need to come back to thread from the download page if he had not hit thanks.

That will not be good to add this code at the download links. I personally feel this bad that users are going back to the main thread page to hit the thanks.
