IPL 2025 Auction LIVE Updates
: The capped batters' auction has started! History has been made at the IPL 2025! Star India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has become the most expensive player ever in IPL with Lucknow Super Giants picking him up for Rs 27 crore. Pant broke Shreyas Iyer's record, who was picked by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore. On the record bid, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka said that they had reserved Rs 26 crore for Pant and they had to 'slightly' go up for the star India players. Yuzvendra Chahal became the most expensive Indian spinner ever in IPL as PBKS picked him for Rs 18 crore.Earlier, Arshdeep Singh was the first player to be sold in IPL 2025 Auction, that too by RTM card, at Rs 18 crore by PBKS. However, KL Rahul disappointed as he went for just Rs 14 crore to Delhi Capitals. The auction will be held in this order: Marquee Sets, Capped Batters, All-Rounders, Wicketkeepers, Capped Bowlers. The final set on Day 1 will feature the first Uncapped Players set. The two-day auction is being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. (
